Because we here in Treegr HQ love so much our product that we have developed our own URL shortener called TRGR. Again, this is an experimental side product, so please use it at your risk.

Wow! It’s been almost a month since our last updates from March and we’re very excited about everything that we’ve done for this month! So let’s see what we’ve been working on:
- Sort options
- Description on your profile
- QR Code for print
- Expired Ads
- New “Scam/Safe” icons
- Mark ad as taken/available
- Report ad as no longer available
- Social Media Links
- Sort options

We wanted to give you more control on the ads and the listing itself so you spend less time in finding the ad that you are looking for. The Sort options does exactly that, now you can easily sort the listing by price or by suburb.
- Description on your profile

We have added a description field in the profile page so people can write a little bit about themselves. Hopefully this will give users the opportunity to know each other better within the community.
- QR Code for print

We have included a QR Code in the print for every ad. This is a brand new feature and we are still experimenting with it. So if you have any question or suggestion, we would really like to hear from you.
- Expired Ads

All ads have an expiration date now (30 days after being posted). Expired ads will have a notice displayed at the top of the ad in the detail page.
- New “Scam/Safe” icons

New

We have changed the “emoticons” style icons to something more standard: thumb up and thumb down. Also, the map icon is shown in the listing for ads that has map in it.
- Mark ad as taken/available

Owner of an ad has the option to mark the ad as “Taken” or “Available” in the ad detail page. This can be done at anytime. Taken ads are greyed out with a cross line through in the title, this setting is viewable by everyone.

- Report ad as no longer available

On a similar way, any user can report an ad as no longer available. Reported ads are greyed out with a cross line through in the title, this setting is viewable only to the reporter.
- Social Media Links!
Facebook, Twitter and our blog are all now listed in the footer.
There are also some other minor changes that are not viewable to show in here. It’s been a very busy month, we still have a very long TODO list to go, so just hang in there, because Treegr is getting better and better!
Heya! This is the first batch of updates since our official/silent launch two months ago and here are the things we’ve been working on and put live for this month:
- Listing display options

Now we have two different display view options, “Simple” and “Detailed”. As you can see below, the only difference is that the “Detailed” view has two extra bits of information: a brief summary and the poster name. “Detailed” view is set as default. You can easily switch between them by clicking on the display options at the top right hand of the listing.

- Nearby ads
If there are more ads from the same area as the posted one, they will be shown in a list at the bottom of the ad details page.

- Edit or delete your own ad
After an ad is posted, you have 5 minutes to edit or delete it.

- Print friendly
The ad details page is now print friendly! To make your life easier, we’ve also added a “Print Friendly” button underneath the ad title.
- Contact phone number
We’ve added an extra field so you can enter the phone number when creating a new ad.
One last thing, we’d like to thank Kim Heras from The Next Web Australia who has posted a very helpful article about Treegr. Thank you Kim for being the responsible for our very first press!
That is! At least for this month. Hopefully you like what we’re doing, and if you don’t, please scream at us! Tell us what you want to see here in Treegr-land and we will make it come true! Untill then, see ya next time.
UPDATE[April]: we have changed the display options from “Normal and Detailed” to “Simple and Detailed” and have set the Detailed view as default.
Just thought it would be nice to have a place where we can talk about what’s going in Treegr. We needed something simple and sexy…
Who said Tumblr? We’ll be start using Tumblr to keep track of the latest changes and to post news and any Treegr related stuff in general, yay!
